Rear Bumper Upper Bracket for VW Beetle

• Supports over-rider bars and prevents bumper sag
• Fits left or right side
• Passes through apron and mounts with lower bracket

The upper rear bumper bracket is essential for properly supporting the over-rider bars on early VW Beetles. It passes through the apron and mounts in the same location as the lower bracket, which supports the bumper itself. This bracket prevents bumper sag regardless of how tightly the lower brackets are mounted. It fits either side and is sold individually—two are required per vehicle.

Important: Test fit the bracket and bumper before painting. Accident damage or previous body work may affect fitment and should be corrected before final paint and installation.

Note: All body metal parts are coated in a black rust inhibitor that is not paint or primer. This coating must be removed before applying primer. Scratches in the coating are normal and will be eliminated during prep. Dented sheet metal must be reported to the shipping carrier for a damage claim, regardless of box condition.

Upper Bumper Brackets Install One-Way Only.

Note how the upper bumper brackets install from the back side of the apron. Always start with the bent end first.Do not force the brackets (straight side first) from the front or you will damage your apron.Installation is the same for both front and rear bumper brackets.
