Front Bumper Upper Bracket for VW Beetle
- Supports over-rider bars and prevents front bumper sag
- Fits either left or right side
- Mounts through apron alongside lower bumper bracket
This tubular upper bracket is essential for supporting the over-rider bars on the front bumper of early VW Beetles. It passes through the front apron and mounts in the same location as the lower bracket. Without this upper bracket, the bumper will sag even if the lower brackets are securely fastened. One bracket fits either side and two are required per vehicle.
Important: Test fit the bracket and bumper before painting. Previous accident damage or bodywork can cause misalignment. Fitting in advance ensures proper adjustment before final finishing.
Note: All body metal parts are shipped with a black rust inhibitor coating. This is not primer or paint and must be removed prior to applying primer. Scratches in this coating are normal and will be eliminated during prep. Dents, however, are not acceptable—any dented sheet metal must be reported to the shipping carrier for a damage claim, regardless of the condition of the packaging.

Upper Bumper Brackets Install One-Way Only.
Note how the upper bumper brackets install from the back side of the apron. Always start with the bent end first.Do not force the brackets (straight side first) from the front or you will damage your apron.Installation is the same for both front and rear bumper brackets.
